  1. FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS:

  3. There are several sample budgets you
  4. can 'Open', modify, and 'SaveAs' the file
  5. "CURRENT.BGT" to get started. Since
  6. Delete Fund and Delete Account don't
  7. delete them from the list until the following
  8. month, you may wish to change their
  9. names rather than delete some and add
  10. others. (See options under the 'Budget'
  11. menu).

  13. Some suggested Funds are:
  14. Auto, Charity, Clothing, Education, Electric,
  15. Entertainment, Food, Gas, Gifts,
  16. Household, Income, Insurance, Laundry,
  17. Medical, Miscellaneous, Personal Care,
  18. Phone, Rent (or House Payment), Savings
  19. (i.e. Money set aside to be put into a
  20. savings account or invested), Taxes (if
  21. your budget is based on gross pay rather
  22. than net pay).

  24. Some suggested Accounts are:
  25. Cash, Checking (one for each bank), Visa
  26. etc. (one for each card). If you want to
  27. record a bank savings account also, you
  28. will probably want to create a special Fund
  29. (such as SAVED) which always has the
  30. same balance as your savings account.
  31. Then when you make deposits from a
  32. checking account, you can record an
  33. Account transfer (Checking account to
  34. Savings account) and a Fund transfer
  35. (SAVINGS to SAVED). Or you can keep all
  36. Savings account records separately.
